Tucked away in a mid-century (1970) ranch home in the Mallett's Bay region of Colchester, Vermont, the Chocolate Room traces its origin back to 2005, when a grateful Vermont transplant fell in love with the house and its beautiful location. The space's tranquility and convenience eventually grew into for The Chocolate Room, which launched on Valentine's Day weekend, 2021 and has been in high demand ever since.

The Chocolate Room sits atop a peninsula between Malletts Bay and Lake Champlain, close to the mouth of the Winooski River. Directly on the bikepath, it is surrounded by beaches and parks where boating, birding, kitesailing, and even ice fishing are common. lending it a year-round vacation feel. In fact, Malletts Bay has long been known as Vermont's epicenter for water recreation, even though downtown Burlington, Winooski and Interstate 89 are just 15 minutes away.  

Accommodations include a large guest suite with private entry and an en-suite bathroom with shower and jacuzzi tub. There is no kitchen, but a small refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker and toaster keep things handy. Guests at The Chocolate Room enjoy off-street free parking, sports gear storage, and in the winter, garage protection for their car. Pets accompanied by conscientious humans are always especially welcome at The Chocolate Room.
